In this section, we explore explanations for the behavior of substances on the molecular level and talk about how these behaviors and characteristics help explain what happens during chemical reactions. We also talk about the energitics of a reaction and how it relates to the speed at which the reactions proceeds. The concept of the catalyst is brought up and ways in which catalysts work are described.
